Great work!
These guys were absolutely fantastic! We recently made the move up from Chicago with a full 14 ft. Uhaul truck. Due to moving problems on the way out of Chicago we ended up arriving in Ann Arbor 2.5 hours after we said we would. These guys were nice enough to wait around for us and when we did arrive they were quick to unload the truck and friendly while doing so. We will definitely use them again in the future.

Great service, very punctual on two occasions
Bigguyforhire helped me move twice on short notice. On both occasions, they not only helped me move everything in a very time-efficient manner, they were also quite careful to make sure nothing suffered as much as a scratch. The second time, John helped me take apart large pieces of furniture and used his own car to help move a couple of larger objects and showed up with rope so I could tie my mattress to the roof of my car. Excellent service and I would recommend it to anyone in the area for any job. I have gone to them multiple times and will continue to do so.

Awesome job
I was kind of worried of choosing movers from Craigslist but these guys are very very reliable , flexible and courteous. One has to pay 1/2 the amount before hand (Paypal is secure- one need not be worried about paying online from their site) and pay the balance after moving is completed. I will defintely recommend these guys.

Excellent and Fast Service
I called John two days before I needed help unloading a moving truck - he was very gracious over the phone and was thankfully able to help out. He and his partner unloaded a 16 foot truck in less than an hour and a half (it took myself, my husband, and three friends almost 3 hours to load). He even arranged my living room furniture and put the bed together for me. I was so happy and satisfied with the service that I will be a repeat customer when I complete my move from Maryland to Ann Arbor in May! Thanks for the great job!

Such a relief!
My apartment is on the third floor of an old house, and getting all of my clunky furniture up the stairs and around all of the corners in narrow awkward corridors was shaping up to be a nightmare. But Big Guy for Hire went ahead without any hesitation got me all moved in no time, and even helped me take apart a desk (that probably was not actually meant to be taken apart) and store it. Awesome job
These guys did an awesome job with my move. When they got to my house to move me the massive 26 foot truck kept getting stuck on ice, they had to plow ice, get the truck dislodged 3 times and then also do the move. They hauled this massive armoire through a door I thought was a no go situation. They just kept at it with different ideas until they got the job done. I have used BigGuyForHire twice in the last 7 months; once to move form apartment to apartment and another time from apartment to house. They packed, moved (drove 20 miles) and unpacked a full 24 foot truck in 3.5 hours. Both times they were professional and curteous. I did not have any items that were broken or lost in the move. They were very efficient and careful not to bump furniture into walls. I would recommend them to anyone moving in the Detroit area and I would use them again!

We found John and his assistant on Craigslist. They arrived on time and were ready to work. The weather was horrible, snow and ice, and the moving truck we rented was almost impossible to walk in because of how slippery the metal floor became in the wintry conditions. I was amazed that they never complained and just made the best of it. We were loaded and on our way in record time. Upon arrival our items were in perfect condition! We are moving the rest of our belongings this next week and are hiring John to finish the job! I was impressed with his website and his professionalism! I would highly recommend his company to handle your move!

Evidence of a Blessing
Sometimes its easy to forget about blessings in the midst of a crisis. Refusing to rely on those that had proved unreliable on good days, when I was doing them a favor, made me want to hire someone for moving. I worked for hours to the point ofexhaustion before their arrival. they arrived early and finished in an amazingly short time frame. A GREAT move!!
When I recently moved from my home in Grosse Pointe to a condo in Royal Oak, I knew the job was going to be monumental. I had a huge library, hundreds of books. I had a full office for a business I ran out of home, which included multiple computers, scanners, printers and all the necessary files and office stuff. And I had several generations of family household goods and furniture including a piano.

To make matters worse, I had just put new hardwood floors in the condo I was moving into which I didn't want scratched.

John and his crew did an extraordinary job of moving everything, with great concern and care for my possessions. He was hard-working, fast and very patient. There was nothing broken, lost, and most amazing, not so much as a scuff mark on my new floors--they carried everything including the piano. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has moving needs.  And I will certainly be using them again.
